Chances for your average Sean. Thanks!

All this ED talks got me all pumped up!

Stats:
SAT: 2100: CR; 760 M; 630 W; 710 (11)
SAT IIs: History; 670 Math 1; 600 Span; 540
GPA: 3.67
Rank: 11/145
Other stats: 4 AP History Exam

Subjective:
Essays: Perfect, captured the feelings I had about wanting to go to Brown.
Teacher Recs: really, really good
Counselor Rec: Wasn’t allowed to read
Hook (if any): Battle with Depression Junior Year, that’s why GPA is not so hot; Overcame it, better person for it.

Location/Person:
State or Country: Mass
School Type: Private Catholic
Ethnicity: White
Gender: Male

Other Factors:
Class President for all years.
Focused completely on my love of English and writing and Creative Writing as a central theme, sort of a hook I guess.

General Comments: Everyone who read them loved my essays, even though talk is cheap, but they captured my ECs which are varied and well rounded, and my personal philosophy and “why brown?”

and this kid from my school who’s not top 30, and worse SAT scores, but with some alum connection got deferred ED, so I don’t know how that fares for me…

your math SAT is on the low side (even though you seem to be leaning towards english) try to bump this up into the 700's (or at least high 600's) and your chances will be much greater.

thank you.
anyone else?
