Chances for your average student

Hey everyone, I've been reading a lot of chances threads recenty and finally decided to make an account to try it out for myself. I've seen some pretty amazing profiles on this site, and while this isn't your usual HYP thread, I hope you guys can still help me out with some insight or advice.

WashU (not to sound like a jerk but I am a legacy there and am family friends with the highest donor to the school, who is writing me a recommendation)
Boston College
Colgate
Holy Cross
Boston University
Georgetown
Trinity
Tufts
Fordham

Thanks for your help in advance everyone!

Your crew accomplishment and GPA can get you into most of the schools on your list. It remains to be seen if Wash U accepts you, even with your legacy connection. Georgetown is a tough call, even with lots of applicants that have better scores than you. Do you plan to do Crew in college? If so, several of these schools will be hot on your tail. I wouldn’t be surprised either, if you got in to ALL the schools on your list, particularly if you re-take the SAT and get a 2100.

Your connection at WashU probably will not help you very much. The school wants money, end of story. A nice note from a person with money means nothing to them.

Your SAT scores are a little low for WashU, Georgetown and Tufts.

I think you have excellent chances at BU and Fordham. Some others to possibly check into are NYU, American and GWU.
