I was wondering what my chances were at the boldest ivy.

Exceptional teacher recs (I haven’t had a steady counseler so idk how that will go), my essays could cause jaws to drop, or they could be just good enough. I’m also a first generation college student according to the government, although my mom does have an associate’s degree.

So, you're gonna be co-valedictorian of your class, you have perfect SAT's, nearly perfect SAT II's, a smattering of awards, good teacher recs, good essays, and an impressive set of ec's that you're (sheepishly) modest about?

Why on earth are you asking for your chances? If you're smart enough to have built up this CV, you should be smart enough to understand that your stats are basically at ceiling and we can't really tell you anything about your chances.

For what it's worth, almost everyone I know at Brown (including a couple Ohioan Caucasians) had stats that were not as impressive as yours. But most of them are genuinely interesting people. Are you? Your stats tell me nothing about that.

hey, your stats look great!

im a fellow caucasian ohioan who is entering brown as a sophomore transfer . email me if you have any questions about admissions (not that i'm an insider, but i did pull it off!)

being interesting and bein honest are key

ummm....this thread should die

mgcsinc -- I can't believe I stumbled upon this post! You are referring to me when you said "Ohioan Caucasians"!

I'm glad you think I am an interesting person! yay!

Let's just say the admissions officer for Ohio has a photograph memory... so be prepared to be on Thayer street 3 years after you were admitted and have a random guy rattle off all your statistics.

lol, hanging out on CC? What are you, me? I see that the end of your summer is REALLY busy.
