How do I look for these schools, and are there any other schools you guys can recommend?

almost forgot...i'm asian....if that changes anything....i think schools are so filled w/ asians now that we might be a LOWER chance in getting into some schools....lol

i do not know about others.. but Georgia Tech wouldnt be a reach.. i think. great SAT scores, high GPA, and many challenging classes. i 'personally' think it's a match for you

Firai, I'd say you're in at Ga Tech. I'm a current CE major myself. I graduated from a small school (Vidalia, GA; 3rd of ~150 graduating seniors). There were about half a dozen of us that wanted to go to Tech. We only had access to a few college courses (I only had 12 hrs) and the highest math was non-AP calculus. I decided to go through the GTREP program at Georgia Southern since I didn't want to live in Atlanta. So I never officially "applied" until this year. However, I'm pretty certain I would have gotten in right out of high school because none of the other people that applied (and they were all excepted) were that close to me academically. Your extra curriculars are similar to mine, and your SAT is 80 points higher. You've got more college credits than I had (hell, I didn't take Diff Eq until the spring of this year and I'm graduating in Sp '06). GT is at the top of the list so I'm assuming it's your first choice. I say congrats because you look like a future Ramblin' Wreck to me.

It seems like none of those schools are reaches, btw there is a post on georgia tech somewhere, maybe in college life, and the kids there bash it as such a crappy college, you should check it out
