Don’t bank on doing test optional, especially not with your GPA. When you go test optional the college doesn’t really have anything else to compare you to other applicants with because of GPA inflation and stuff they can’t compare GPA from different schools, and while they may know of your school and how difficult/easy it is there you have to have a more competitive GPA if you do test optional because your GPA and course rigor is judged much harder when you don’t have that test score. Figuring out the test is not that difficult anyways, I had a 26 last year this year i studied a little and got a 31 and i’m studying this summer and i believe i can get a 33 or 34, just work your butt off. ALSO i realize you are African american, so considering this you have a better shot than most with your current GPA BUT if you want assured acceptance then get a good test score.Hope this helps

TAKE THE SAT!!! It can’t hurt. If you do well and send it, they will consider it. If you do bad, oh well. Also, get your GPA up to a 3.75! Your EC’s are phenomenal. Also, since you’re African American, that helps your chances, A LOT. Wake Forest is really trying to increase diversity. Also, apply ED
