Chances/ goals to aim for?

I am currently a freshman at a very competetive public high school, and i know it might be a tad early to start searching 4 schools.. but i love politcs and the like i read that gwu has great programs for that...
anyway my stats:
Freshman year grades:
Language arts: 87
World history: 91
Geometry honors- 85
physics-88
photography(does this matter?)-94
ecommerce-85

overall GPA- 3.6
now, i took the PSAT once and got 53 in all topics, however i believe that if i took the actual SAT now, i would score Significantly higher... possibly around 700's...

ECs-
Debate Team,
Currently in the process of founding my schools young republicans
Live historians club
i also plan on fencing for the rest of highschool

So what are my chances? also what goals should i set for myself so that i would be set comfortably to get in to gwu/similarly selective schools?

thanx

I think freshman years are challenging beyond control. Thus, you hava an average start. But the good news is that most schools look beyond the freshman year, and specifially the junior and senior grades, and what you do as EC to bring to the school of your choice. If these would have been your senior grades, you would have had a hard time getting in, but you still have 3 years and 3 summers ahead of you. I would fasten the belt and catch up the speed , it goes fast. Do and EC that truly you are passionate about, and try to do well on your SATs
Good luck
