*I am studying the Arabic language outside of school through an adult education program.

Please be honest…Thank you!! :]

I'm not sure...your GPA and class rank look a little low, and so do your SAT scores, but of course you don't have to send those in. I'd play up your ECs. Those definitely add to your chances.

Take everything I say with a grain a salt or two--I'm just a prospie, too.

Oh, wait, your GPA's unweighted? OK, that's a bit better then...more solid. :) Good luck!

Thank you! :]

That's what I've made an attempt to do with the EC's. My counselor's recommendation was all about my volunteer trip to LA, and I incorporated my time spent studying Arabic into one my Common App. essay.

To be honest, I'm not sure. I would say no. Of course, you are qualified but Bowdoin has an overall percent acceptance rate of 16-18% and ED of about 28-30%. If you love Bowdoin you should definitly look at Bates or Colby..similar schools but sllightly less competitive. Also, I wouldn't submit SATs if you insist on applying to Bowdoin. Your math and writing scores are too low. Hope this helps. Good luck!
