Chances/Guidance for Transfer Process

ok sorry i just posted another question the other day but i am still very confused.

If you had a very bad high school gpa (2.2), but then went to a community college for a year and had basically a 4.0 gpa could you get into a good school.

More importantly when should i apply to schools if i wait to apply my second year in community college they wont be able to see all of the grades i recieved so all of the hard work seems kind of useless. However, if you wait about two years and you recieved a 4.0 gpa in community college, write stellar essays, honor societies, some particular ec's, good sats, will colleges be willing to accept you. I'm not gonna start applying to ivies and all these amazing schools but i believe i can still go to a great school, i mean i would be ****ed if all of this work gets me just to a decent state school that i could have gone to after one year of cc.

Also do you think i could get into syracuse U because they accept transfers on a rolling basis even though they set a deadline my friend applied in June and got accepted abouit 2 weeks later (he has way better highschool stats however) If i were to apply to syracuse today (they still are accepting transfers) would i get in with a 3.97 gpa under my belt with one year of cc. I got a 2.2 gpa. I'm well rounded though with the ec's, jobs, sports, volunteer work. I just want to know if i could, give me a lil hope.

Also could anyone chance me/give me advice if i could get in these schools i list. (could you say i should apply this year, or wait one more year at cc and get the same marks in order to gain admission)

Schools (i added a little more than my previous post)

Bates, Bowdoin, Union College, Vandy, BC (legacy, both parents went/donate money), Providece, Villanova, Syracuse, FSU, Cornell (I know but whatever), UNC, Ithaca, Trinity College, Lafayette, UNH, Northeastern

I know its a ****load of schools but i just need some advice i have no one to ask and you guys are good about narrowing down schools. If you guys could be very specific at each school (if i could get in with just one year of cc under my belt/or if i would have to do two years to gain admission)

honestly i appreciate it a lot i know its annoying to answer but you have no idea how much headache it saves me and i know most schools are a reach and nothings certain but giving me a perspective of what schools are a good chance will help a ton

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well it is important to realize that when you apply to schools for fall transfer they don’t see your spring grades. So if say you got a 4.0 first semester and a 4.0 second. The 2nd semester is in most cases not seen unless your on the waitlist, accepted, or some schools do their transfer admissions a little late. To be honest, if your really set on those schools, I would suggest going to community college for 2 years. Its hard for one college semester to make up for 4 years of high school. Some schools you might have a shot at for next fall. If you want to apply to Syracuse right now and you are sure they are still accepting (to be honest that seems quite surprising since most schools start in the next 3 weeks or so.) then go for it. I’d hold off and apply for next fall or if your really determined this spring. Anything is possible.

thanks man appreciate it

BUMP any one else
