any thoughts?

Let's break down your application:

You have a strong SAT I, although it's not quite HYP level for a white girl from NJ. SAT II's are strong as well, and slightly stronger than your SAT I's. Your class rank is great, and your curriculum seems to be strong. No complaints on the EC front, especially since you have a concentration in music, have done work with the mayor, and since you have lab research. Most people don't know how to judge recommendations, so I won't make any assumptions.

Yale and Princeton are toss-ups for anyone. MIT, I'd say you have a good shot at, because you're a girl with a relatively compelling all-around profile. But still, MIT is very competitive, and it's still somewhat of a toss-up. Columbia has a 10% acceptance rate and has gotten much tougher, so it's rather near Yale and Princeton, unfortunately.

I would have applied to more places like Cornell, Brown, Johns Hopkins, and Rice. These would have been very strong choices for you, because they're somewhat below HYPSM, and then a little bit below Columbia, Dartmouth, Duke and Penn. You move from HYPSM, to Columbia, and then you take a significant drop to Carnegie Mellon, Emory, NYU, GW, and Brandeis. It would have been a good strategy to "fill-in-the-gap", so to speak. You would have most probably gotten into at least one of those schools, since you fit the profile well.

Anyway, just my two cents. Hope for the best.
