A little more info:
I am in a program headed by a University where we receive our associates degree at the same time we graduate from high school. The associates degree will be a networking degree. They pay for these credit hours, and place us at local companies who will give us internships. Although the college courses are through a state and community college they are college courses. This will give me a lot more rigor on my transcript.

Please tell me my chances of getting in, or what I Could do to improve my chances. i feel I need more activities on my resume, and a Higher ACT or to even take the SAT. My practice SAT was a 1400 just in case you wanted to know.Sorry if the life guarding certifications were irrelevant, but still thought it might help a little. Thanks So much :)

You actually have a decent shot because of your background and you are pretty well rounded. Anything could happen (admissions people can be finicky) but make sure to rock your essay and keep it up.

Please chance me, I need all the help I can get. Sorry about not posting the link, I am having issues doing this forum stuff on my iPad.

Ok… first of all “As and Bs” would need more information including GPA and such because it all depends how many Bs you had and in which subjects you had them. esp for all the good schools you are applying to. You seem to be a complete applicant. if your GPA is high 3.7+ you def have a chance. and u can always improve test scores
chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1424564-please-chance-top-colleges-really-need-advice.html

@ MsMallory , which chance is it you want me to reply to ?
@ jakjak1 thanks soo much :)

I’m probably not helpful but your geographic location might help and your URM status.
I think these schools are reaches but not impossible for you to get into. You have a low ACT and your GPA is not the highest. Those certifications show your interest in comp sci and that will definitely help you. AA Women in STEM majors are highly coveted. I think the associate’s degree will look good to colleges too. Your ECs aren’t spectacular but I wouldn’t add more unless they are related to comp sci. Join the comp sci club in your school. If you don’t have one, found one. Colleges love that!

Columbia - Reach
Berkeley- Reach
USC- low reach/ high target.
Don’t know much about Cal-Tech

Good luck in all of your endeavors!
