Hi, I'm Currently a Sophmore (so one more year to improve) but I would like to know what you think my chances are so far. My dream schools are : HYPS, Johns Hopkins, or Emory. My matches so far: State schools (really don't want to go there )

Health (two sem req)

10th
AP World History
AP Biology
A/T Biology (lab class)
AP Art History
Algebra II Honors
Pre AP World Lit

My GPA is 3.54 UW and set to take a nose dive bc I wasn't quite up to par 3rd nine wks. So what are my chances.

Interesting courseload. However, chances can not be determined until the spring of your junior year. A lot can happen before and during your junior year. Not to mention you don't have an SAT score to look at.

I can give my advice though. Work hard throughout the remainder of your sophmore year. Take a few SAT II's, which correspond to courses you are interested in. Try to do well on your AP's. Hope for the best?

I forgot to post it: I have a PSAT of 164. Does that count for anything.

doesnt qualify for the scholarship.
have you taken practices tests?

Take the Biology E or M SAT II and the World History SAT II subject tests. I'm a sophomore too. just keep working hard and you'll do fine. Keep taking rigorous and tough courses as well.

achk! everyone here has taken many AP courses by sophomore year! some even in freshman year! we don't even offer AP courses until junior year at my school and even then, most people take at most 2.

Sickening, isn't it?

just wondering: does ur school run on block schedule?

yeah it does. 4 periods a day. 90 mins each.
