Hey all. I'm a high school freshman, so please stoop down to my vocabulary level if you feel the need :P. I guess it's a good idea to start now, and I'd like some opinions.

Hispanic Male (Perm. Resident)(Colombian) / Living in Florida

I'm currently taking one AP course and 4 Honors courses. My first marking period passed and I received all A's, etc. (4.8 GPA) I'm only in one extracurricular activity, which is Caring for Kids and Critters, but I take a some courses in my local college. I know Spanish and English fluently, considering I'm Hispanic, and am currently enrolled in French and Italian courses. I stopped taking Capoeira for a while, but now I'm planning on going back to Capoeira, and also looking forward to taking Portuguese classes next year. I'm also planning on starting Community Service as soon as possible, and am an advanced flute player. I'm also considering on starting a Book Club and a Debate Team in my school because it's kinds of sad we don't have one.

Phew. That was a lot of writing.
Obviously, I can't post any SAT/ACT scores, only my 4.8 GPA which is truly insignificant considering I just started high school. I'm an early Harvard Hopeful .. what do you guys think? Is this enough? What should I add/take away? My passion is obviously languages, but it doesn't have a thing to do with law, which is my dream career. What should I do? Continue as I am? Change my dream career into one suitable with my passion? If so, what does Harvard offer language-related? So many questions, so little time .. well, four years worth of time. Whatever.

whoa stop right there! your hispanic. Just do decent on the SAT's 2100+, keep your high GPA, join a few more clubs and your in. Srsly. Also try to do a unique activity that you are interested in.

whoa stop right there! youre a freshman. Just do what you like and keep doing well in school. Do NOT get swept up into chances yet; you will not have fun which is more important than Harvard. You hardly know who you are now and this school may not be right for you. Keep motivated and research but don't think about doing things for college now. You can go just as far in life if not in an ivy ;)

True.. I still have 4 years after all. My social life is great, and I enjoy doing everything I do .. hmm. I still want to get to a good college though ;) Who doesn't?

Oh of course and I am not saying stop trying. Just remember to note bulk up your resume just to get into schools. Keep that on the side burner. I will be the first to admit that I HAVE done this and sometimes it turns out that you love that activity but I have also done it and hated the activity. Basically, stay motivated academically, worry about testing as it comes (no problem with studying but I disagree with studying over a year in advance), make sure you enjoy what you do albeit cooking, raising lab rats, saving the rain forest, sports, and do not get caught up by prestige on too many of your schools.
