So I know chances threads are possibly the most irritating thing out there, but I was just wondering how I stack up to other applicants. So, if those people in the know would be willing to just see how I stack up. (By the way, I go to a pretty good public high school; we're ranked second in the state, but it IS New Hampshire, which is pretty small...)

My course load has been challenging throughout high school--I've always taken the most challenging courses available, and although I do have a fair amount of art electives, it's because of an honest interest in art (as demonstrated by AP Portfolio...) and not because I thought Painting or 3D Sculpture would be easy. Umm, I took French for 3 years but couldn't continue it this year because of a scheduling conflict. My schedule this year is:

Psychology
AP Portfolio
AP Calc
AP Lit
Indep. Study: Half year of the personal essay, half year of critical theory

As for ECs, I've been involved with Girl Scouts since I was in kindergarten, have gotten my Silver Award and am working on my Gold (technically equivalent to the Eagle Scout Award, but in all honesty more work! :] ). I've also been involved with Green Group (our environmental group) for four years, theatre (set design and crew) for two and a half, and NHS for two (president this year). I also spend a lot of time working at my grandparent's farm and at my aunt's green house business.

What do you guys think? Smith is absolutely my top choice, so I'm hoping I compare relatively well.
