I completed my application at the end of october, when do you think i will find out if i got accepted or not?

My SAT scores were not that great: 570 math and 530 reading
I have a good amount of extracirricular activities and community serivice and 3.6 GPA

I want to join the corps of cadets though and i put that on my application, do you think this will help?

It is somewhat of a myth that checking that you want to join the Corps of Cadets is a sure way to acceptance. How much serious interest have you shown in the Corps? For instance, have you been to any special programs like Spend the Night/Day with the Corps? Have you spoken with any of the Corps Recruitment Staff? Did you include interest in the Corps in any of your essays?

Absent those things, your application will probably be looked at as a review candidate along with the other review candidates regardless of checking interest in the Corps. Since A&M has rolling admissions, it’s very hard to estimate when you might hear a decision. It could be anywhere from now until May of 2010. The majority of review applicants don’t hear until after the new year.
