I really want to attend and my essays and interview(possibly) will show it.What do you guys think?

bump....................anyone, bueller?

Your name is brownorbust...are you applying ED to Brown or did you change your mind? :o

What about SATs?

I'll see if I can help.

Your ACT is a bit weak in comparison to the Class of 2009 stats and the ACT w/writing to New SAT conversion.

Your ECs are good.

I'll have to take your word on your course rigor since you haven't listed anything. Usually I can make a comparison if there are AP courses and some scores. Upward trend is good, 3.9 is great. If it's anything like the class of 2009, top 10% looks practically required.

I think you have a decent chance. I can't really say any more than that, nor do I think anyone else can, because of the variations between the current, existing classes at Tufts. There was just such a big jump in stats.

Yeah I changed my mind about Brown, and Tufts is my #1 choice

Kiroshin-are you taking ED into account? Thanks for the info.

I am and I'm not. Your chances will be better with ED II for sure (RD pool looks more competitive), but by how much I can't tell you. So I'm giving you the overall decent shot, not guaranteed, but certainly not a "oh look, let's reject him", if you know what I mean. Those are my 2 cents on the issue. I'll see if I can find anything else out; I'm in the same boat.

Thanks, that makes sense

calling all jumbos...any advice/comments?

Sorry to keep bumping this, but I want a little more imput. thanks!

There's only so much that can be said at this point. If you have any specific questions or need help, I'm sure someone like Snuffles would be glad to help. But at this point there's no % anyone can tag on. It'll depend on everything; your stats, your essays, the whole shabang. I've seen students with near 'perfect' stats get rejected, and those with 'subpar' stats get accepted. There's more than meets the eye and nobody here is going to be able to crunch out a Yes or No on their calculator or a "you have a 50/50 shot" from a chart.

Sure, things like ED will naturally help (about 39% acceptance rate), but you'll need to make those essays meaningful. Those that don't show any interest tend to get rejected (based on what I have read from other people and the outcome of their applications).

Then again, I'm only an applicant. What do I know? : )
