<p>spanish has never been my strong point but i got an a in the class so i guess it'll balance out do you think my scores/stats are in line with hopkins</p>
<p>getting an A in spanish class but not doing well on the AP is precisely what hurts people. in fact, part of the reason Adcoms look at AP scores at all is to check that your teacher wasn't just a generous grader who gave everyone A's. not to worry though, it's just one single test grade, you have good ECs.</p>
<p>You've got nothing to worry about! Your stats are up there; one poor Spanish AP grade is certainly not going to kill you, even if you want to major in IR; you've published two papers; really, you have a much better-than-average chance. I'd be quite surprised if you didn't get in.</p>
