<p>Dear mp96 : As you read through these threads, you start to realize how important the test scores are as a starting point. There are so many excellent candidates expressing themselves on College Confidential and as the EA/RD pools expand (EA up by 16%), so too will the top end of the scores. Your 2170/31 was right on the bubble for the honors program from last year's samples.</p>

<p>Among the arguments against your application, you do not have any sports or music listed in your summary. The reason that these two areas come up so often is that they can be leading indicators of what you offer the campus environment as opposed to the other way around.</p>

<p>Your academic achievements (Honor Society, hardest classes at school, honors classes) read like many other chance-me students. Your volunteer work can be a differentiator if positioned well.</p>
