<p>If you are named a National Merit Finalist in Feb. and you matriculate to Vanderbilt, you will automatically receive a National Merit Scholarship even if you aren't named to one independently. For S in class of 06, it was $5000per year.</p>

<p>You're definitely in. You also probably qualify for the Honors program and other merit scholarships, which are listed on Vandy's website. I definitely recommend applying for them.</p>
