Hey everyone,
right now I’m in my second semester at a community college. I want to transfer to SyracuseU this fall, I had a 3.46 last semester, this semester is good for except for physics. The professor is horrible and I don’t see myself getting a good grade in the class. Is it worth it to drop? I’ll have a much better GPA but I’m not sure Syracuse will like that I dropped an engineering class when I’m applying there for comp sci.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
I don’t know how Syracuse will handle it, but Temple accepted my son with two CC withdrawals on his transcript. Neither was from a class in his department, though.
Did he go to 1 or 2 years of CC? I’m only doing 1 year.
He only did one semester, after leaving an arts college.
I could understand how the W would be okay in @woogzmama’s son’s situation. However physics is a core, relevant course since you want to major in Computer Science. I don’t know how good it will look if you drop it.
Yeah I sorta figured that, I checked with Syracuse today actually and they said it’s not completely necessary for Comp Sci, it’s more for engineering. I’m just stuck in a predicament here with deciding what to do.
