Chances, if you will

GPA(weighted) 3.6
Verbal-640
Math-660
Writing-760
Taking SATs again Saturday, hoping to raise scores significantly.

Caucasian, junior at the moment. Planning on applying EA next year.

ECs
Varsity Football, Varsity Track and Field, Spanish Club (representative), Spanish Honor Society, Literary Magazine (editor), Writing Club, Book club, Large amount of Community Service,100 hours by graduation, Honor Council, Take every AP English, Spanish and History courses open to me, on advanced/honors track for math and sciences.

School is extremely competitive. Ranked third in state by State U’s assessment.

Also just found out I’m getting one of my poems published in a few different anthologies, pretty excited about that.

Thanks in advance.

You have a decent shot, but it would help a lot if the verbal and math SATs came up, along with the GPA. They are getting so many applications these days that it's tough to say anybody is definitely in. You're not even close to definitely in, but you've got a shot, especially if the places you're getting the poem published are pretty reputable.

Definetely get the SAT's up. Take a course or hire a tutor, esp for Math.
Also, plan on studying for the SAT II's.
The higher your GPA and SAT's, the more choices you'll have. Not only to qualify for BC, but a whole class of highly selective colleges.
If you're applying EA, you'll need to raise your numbers to get accepted.
(IMHO) My son was in a similar situation as yours, and he's applying RD instead of EA, based on the advice of an alum.
Good luck!

Get the sat and gpa up, study for sat II's, and you'll have a decent shot.

if you are from georgia, i would say that would definitely help you

Brought CR up to 690.

even with the higher cr score, the sat scores are too low for early acceptance. you would probably be deffered and not sure whether you would be accepted regular or not. i know that some people just cannot get past a certain point on the sats so i would load up on ap classes sr year and work really hard to get your jr year grades up high

New SAT scores, 690, 680, 700 for the critical reading, math, and writing sections respectively. So would y'all be so kind as to indulge me and say how these new scores might go for either EA or RD? 1370/2070. Thanks much.

it wont really matter if you apply EA or RD, you're going to be a really competitive applicant. if you do EA, the worst that can happen is get deferred to the RD pool, your chances of getting in are very high.
