<p>I'm number 1 in my class. My school is a top public school in north Carolina. There are about 450 in my class.</p>

<p>I also work at a local tutoring center and volunteer with an organization where we play tennis with underprivileged children (300 hours a year). I have played piano for 12 years and played at many different competitions winning some. I have also won competitions for deca, FBLA and speech and debate</p>

<p>I also have modeled some in new York I don’t know if that counts as an ec. My cousin went to Columbia I don’t know I that has any pull. I think I have pretty good recs and a good essay.</p>

Obviously you are a great applicant, but nobody is a shoe-in.</p>

<p>Wonderful quantitative data in terms of specs in GPA and the like, but at some point, the numbers end and the determining factors are outside the studious realm. Your ECs are far from bad, they are great and show a fine commitment to something other than school. That being said, they might not stand up to the more stellar applicants if it comes down to it. I would suggest strengthening them. Great chance though!!! Just nit-picking!
