Chances? I'll Chance Back

Hello, I’m applying this fall/winter and would greatly appreciate any feedback and will chance you back (just provide the link to your thread)

My SAT is less than idea for these schools and I’m also wondering if taking it a 4th time would be worth it. Any advice on that, too?

^ Thanks for chancing! I believe my UC GPA is 4.25

With the current SAT score,
UC Berkeley/USC/UCLA/NYU Stern - Reach
UCSD/NYU Gallatin (not too familiar with Gallatin but definitely easier to get into than Stern) - High Match
Chapman/Loyola Marymount/Northeastern - Safety

@HariboGoldBear - You mean for USC and NYU Gallatin to be low reach instead of low match? USC is harder to get into than UCSD.

@HariboGoldBear

  1. High Reach
  2. Reach
  3. Low Reach
  4. High Match
  5. Match
  6. Low Match
  7. Safety

1 - Hardest to get into.
7 - Easiest to get into.

UC Berkeley - reach
UCLA - high match
UCSD - high match

Chapman - safety
Loyola Marymount - low match
NYU (Stern and Gallatin in specific) - reach

Thanks!

@kyquanzo

Solid leadership ECs. A higher SAT would improve your chances for NYU (depending on what school you’re applying for)

Tulane - High Match
George Washington - High Match
NYU - Low Reach
U Miami - Match
U Delaware - Safety
American - Safety
College of Charleston - Safety

Northeastern is not a safety. The OP’s SAT score is just above the 25th percentile of enrolled freshmen.

@HariboGoldBear How is your weighted GPA 5.46? You look like a very strong applicant, though your schools are all over the place. Is there a clear reason you’re applying to each of those schools, or not?

Your GPA is well within range of any of the mentioned schools. However, you’re SAT Score is below the average for a majority of the UCs. Chapman and Marymount however are safeties for you. Solid Ec’s though. Good Luck!

@HariboGoldBear

The Ivies and other top schools are reaches for everyone, but for you they are well within reach. Your stats are impressive, so you’re definitely a strong contender for these schools! Best of luck.
