Chances Improved with four years of Foreign Language?

I am currently a rising senior and have taken three years of spanish. I am not applying to any ivy league schools but I will be applying to top 100 schools like:

Syracuse University
Boston University
Michigan State University
Penn State University
University of Pittsburgh
University of Delaware
Kalamazoo

Will a fourth year of foreign language improve my chances of getting in? Because on college board all of these colleges say

Required Years: 2
Recommended Years: 3

I already have three years so will taking a fourth year have any point?

I am also horrible at Spanish and will probably get a B in the course at best.

My other option would be to take an elective, what should I do? I really dislike spanish but I want the best chances for getting into these colleges.

no, it will not have a significant (beneficial) effect.

Take it senior year if you enjoy the language. Don’t take it if you’re just using it for college. So in your case, dont take it.

If you are not confident in your ability to do well in the class do not take it. You have already exceeded the requirement for foreign languages so there is an awful lot more downside risk than potential upside gain in taking what is likely to be a pretty difficult class that you do not need.

With the possible chance I find it moderate and could pull off an A, would this improve my chances? What I’m asking is do colleges care much about a fourth year? Or they don’t care that much after the student has three years?
