Let me begin by introducing myself. I am a high school freshman from a small, nationally-ranked (I believe in the top 10 a few years back; it's slipped since then) International Baccaulaureate public school in Northern Virginia. I have a GPA of 3.56 (thanks in large part to Spanish and Algebra I in middle school). My GPA is improving (I got one B+ in Spanish for the first semester of this year; the rest were As), although I'm still wary of the possibilities of Bs in Spanish, English, and Math (next year with Hon. Algebra II/Trig; this year's Hon. Geometry is easy for me).

Let me as well explain myself. I hesitate to term this a "chance me" thread for a number of reasons. Namely, these are that I know my current GPA and ECs pretty much rule out Georgetown or any similar college if they are continued, as well as that it is only 9th Grade for me, and I realize much can change in 3-4 years.

On to where I would like to see myself in the future. My dream university is Georgetown, and it is to that university which I would like to set standards for myself at the current time. I am interested in either it's economics/business program or School of Foreign Service. After graduating I see myself getting a postgraduate or law degree and entering a political or law career, likely in the District. I realize that this will require pushing myself in school, doing more ECs, and working very hard as a student in the future. I accept this, and am willing to do what it takes.

So what I am asking of you all is not to chance me, per se, but rather to offer suggestions and improvements for the following:
- Getting in to Georgetown
- Improving my GPA to an acceptable level
- Classes to take
- Clubs and extraxurriculars to pursue
- Surviving the International Baccaulaureate program which I plan to start in 11th grade.

Current classes:
Hon. Geometry (A first semester, easy class for me)
Symphonic Band (A, easy A and fun class, but kind of useless)
Spanish III (B+, low B this quarter. As hard as I try, I can't seem to improve)
Hon. Biology (A, Not the easiest, but I can get As in this)
World Civ II (A, easiest and favorite class. I like history)
Hon. English 9 (A, Currently have a high B. I like it, but the grades don't always reflect so well)
PE/FLE 9 (LOL)

10th Grade Classes:
Hon. Algebra II/Trig (I'm worried. I got Bs in Algebra I, despite finding Geometry easy)
Symphonic Band (Same as above)
Spanish IV (I'm done with my credits for the Virginia advanced diploma for foreign language, so I don't have to take it. However, I will need to take Spanish for IB in 11th, so I can't risk skipping a year. Quite worried.)
Hon. Chemistry (Moderately worried. Writing up labs is not my strongest point in science.)
AP US Gov (It's AP, but I don't forsee a problem.)
Hon. English 10 (Moderately worried)
PE/FLE/Driver's Ed (LOL)

Extracurriculars:
Clarinet in school band and school play orchestra.
Model United Nations (first year, three awards out of five conferences attended. I may run for a club position for next year. I will likely be crisis director for my school's conference)
Student Government

Sports:
None. Tried out for tennis and golf but didn't make either. I may (but likely won't) do lacrosse this year. I will likely train and try out for tennis next year.
