Chances in acceptance

Hello,
I'm applying at Depaul University, Loyola, University of Illinois at Chicago, and Southern Illinois University. I scored a 25 on my ACT, became an editor of my school's newspaper and yearbook, was selected to represent my school for State Representative Tom Cross's Youth Council, and am Vice-President of the Young Politicians of America for my school. There is, however, a but... I have a poor GPA 2.8, even though I've taken mostly honors and AP classes.

Do you think I have a chance?

Yes.

Every single one of these places needs a student government president, a student newspaper editor, and people to run all of the other organizations on campus. You cannot change the grades you have earned so far, but you can improve the grades for the rest of this year. Do your best to bring your grades up so that your mid-year report is good and so that your counselor and teachers are willing to go to bat for you if you are wait-listed.

Good luck!
