Chances In The Future

I'm in my junior year right now and am thinking about my chances after senior year.

9th grade - real sucky school, lots of advanced classes with juniors, don't think these really matter

10th grade - AP Calculus BC (A, 5), AP Euro History (B+, 3), regular English (A+), Honors Biology (A), Introduction to Programming (A+)

11th grade - Multivariable Calculus (B+), AP English Lang&Comp (A-), AP US History (B+), AP CompSci A (A+), AP Physics C (A)

Projected 12th grade: advanced calculus (stuff after multi and DE), AP English Lit&Comp, AP Govt, AP Econ, AP CompSci AB, AP Chemistry, (probably 2nd year Physics at college)

PSAT score: 192. SAT from 8th grade: 1145, ACT from 9th grade: 28 (hopefully, both of these would improve drastically when I take them this year)

I have no EC's except for making a few website-related stuff for school, and if it counts: administering a fairly major game server (running on FreeBSD). I hope to get involved in development of some open source software in the future.

Most traditional clubs and ECs do not interest me at all. I would not participate for any reason. As for community service - there's really none that I'm willing to do - most of the times, I want to stop others from participating in community service.

Am considering: MIT, CalTech (might be a bit too high though), UC Berkeley, Princeton, UCLA, UC Irvine, CalState Long Beach, CalState Fullerton

So, I was wondering about my chances in those colleges. Generally, I'm an ambitious (but not perfect) student who truly enjoys math and science. Also, I'm interested in which others you guys might recommend. Am thinking about majoring in electronics engineering or mathematics.

BUMP'ing this up.

No chance at MIT, CalTech, or Princeton. UCLA and UCB are reaches. Irvine is a match. The CalState's are safeties. I'd recommend finding more matches (UCSD?)

Having no ECs will hurt you.

Forgot to mention that between 9th grade and 10th grade, I moved and went to one of the top HS'es in the nation (in the top 100 by Newsweek). Also, I forgot about orchestra in 9th grade (dropped it later because there was no room on my schedule to put orchestra in, but I still play the violin / take private lessons up until today).

Also, do note that the SAT and ACT scores were via a talent search program in 8th and 9th grade, back in the days when I haven't covered everything covered on those tests. I still haven't taken them for reals yet.

For the most selective universities, everyone who applies has excellent academic credentials. Thus, E.C's become the deciding factor when deciding who to admit.

The violin is quite typical, to be honest, so it won't get you very far.

You might have more luck at the U.C's, as they are more numbers based.

UCB/UCLA: Reach (Engineering)
UCI: Safe Match
