hey guys! i’d really appreciate it if u could answer some of my questions

1 chances?
My stats is pretty okay, 800 maths 800 CR 720 writing and presumably 800 800 800 for all 3 SAT 2 subject tests.
i’m under the UK GCE O LEVEL AND A LEVEL curriculum. 9 A1s and 1 A2s for the ten courses i studied for O LEVEL and the predicted A level grades should be four As if nothing goes wrong.
My ECs may not be so great
Air rifle team and represented school in recognised competition
science research project
Opera performance
Drama performance
School magazine editor
Loads of community services
some maths and english competitions
essays and rec should be fine…
others: first generation college student and practically need a full ride finAid:(

so chances? btw, i attended a very competitive high school where the ave SAT scores are like 759 math, 692 CR and 680 writing… and wellesley routinely admits no more than two students from our school each year and there are abt 1250 of us in my batch…

does the amt of finaid affect ur chances of admission or it’s just whether u apply for it or not? how generous wellesley is compared to other LACs in admitting intls who need finaid? and what’s the approximate percentage of intls admitted with substantial finaid? :)

how’s the interaction btw intls and us kids?

does it offer interview outside the States? if so, is it better to request for one?

Thanks so much!!! :)

1) I'd say your chances are fine, though you never mention where you come from--I'm assuming UK?

2) If you're looking for financial aide, I've heard that getting is as an international applicant can definitely be tough. I've heard that this can be a deterent for admission, though I don't know for sure.

3) Interaction's great, as far as I can tell, as some of my best friends here are international and say that they love it.

4) no idea.

1) You probably know that your stats are high... however, Wellesley really looks beyond that, too, so make sure those essays are good, and try to reallly convey a passion for your ECs.

2) I am myself an international student on financial aid, and Wellesley is not need-blind towards internationals. I don't know the stats, though (however, I can tell you that my highest offer was from Wellesley)

3) Interaction is great; I have a lot of American friends, but there is also a great International Center (Slater), and I love hanging out there as well

4) Interviews are offered outside the US, sometimes, the admissions reps travel, but more often, alumnae will do it. I had an alum interview and it was fabulous. Try to do one if you can, if only to show that your interest for the school is sincere.

thank u jabberwocky66 and hermioneisme! :) no, i'm not from uk. i m currently studying in singapore though i came from china :p

You have really great chances!

I'm not an international student, but wellesley was the most generous with the financial aid when I got the acceptances from other colleges.

There's a good sense of community within the residence halls. It's easy to meet a lot of people from very diverse backgrounds.

I'm pretty sure you can find an alumna to interview you; check with the website or email the admissions office.

thank you pengwinsrawk!:)
