Chances? International Student with 3.96 UW GPA & 1700 SATS

<p>Hey guys!</p>

<p>I need your honest opinions! I'm an International Student from Southeast Asia applying to CAS. I was deffo a great student at school, got amazing scores (3.96 UW), BUT I just received my SATs today and it COMPLETELY bogged me down… 1700 (M+CR+W) and 1190 (M+CR). I'm just the worst with standardized test scores.</p>

<p>School: Mediocre Private School in Jakarta, Indonesia (Southeast Asia)
Ethnicity: Asian
Gender: Male
Earning: 110K+</p>

<p>GPA: 3.96 UW
Class Rank: Does not rank.
SAT I: 1700 (M+CR+W) and 1190 (M+CR) Which sucked!!!
SAT II: -
AP: AP English & AP Calculus AB
Took all the AP courses offered</p>

<p>All As in 34 subjects except for a C in Physical Education</p>

<p>Syracuse does not require the SAT from international students. If you keep your grades up in rigorous courses you should be in good shape. Good luck to you. Please see below from the SU website:
Standardized Tests</p>

<p>The SAT/ACT is not required of any student studying outside the U.S. and currently enrolled in a school that does not follow the American system of education (including U.S. citizens living abroad). SAT Subject Tests are not required.</p>

<p>*Please note, prospective Division I student athletes must take the SAT or ACT in order to meet NCAA eligibility requirements.</p>

<p>In addition, if your native language is not English you must take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or the IELTS (International English Language Testing System). If you are a U.S. citizen and your native language is not English you are encouraged to take either the TOEFL or IELTS to demonstrate your proficiency. More specific information on English Proficiency Requirements is provided below. In addition, Syracuse University will consider results of the PTE Academic for English proficiency. </p>
