Chances into Engineering Program

SATS
Math - 720 CR - 600 Writing 660
Total - 1980
Math/CR - 1320
I'm still undecided about taking them again in the fall. I feel like they are sufficient, however I told myself I was going to break 2000 and I was very disappointed that I fell just short.

GPA
Not sure what my GPA is at the moment... My school hasnt done it for me yet... and I dont have my grades from freshman or sophmore year to get an estimate... However my average for all three years on naviance is an 87.50. But I don't know what that will make my GPA.

Courseload
I took all honors classes pretty much freshman and sophomore year. Junior year all honors with AP Statistics and AP Computer Science. Senior Year AP Calculus BC, AP Physics B, a few honors courses and a couple non honors electives.

AP Scores
Statistics - 5
Computer Science - 5
I don't know if they take this in to consideration? I know Northeastern doesn't accept AP Statistics, but I figured 5s still look good.

ExtraCuriculars
Football team all four years. Track and Field team all four years. Church Youth group throughout high school. Attended 4 mission trips during summers. Volunteer work at a soup kitchen throughout highschool. Part Time Jobs as a Little League Umpire and at a local Subway starting junior year.

I plan on applying to the College of Engineering, hoping to major in Civil Engineering with a minor in Computer Science.

Thats about it. Thank you for your time.

Everything looks in Northeastern’s range. I would say that the GPA is alittle low but you make up for it with other aspects of your application. Good chances.

good chance for engineering. I got in with a 1860 on SAT

Ok thanks! I was thinking that my GPA was a little low also. Do you think that I should take the SATs again?

As I recall, it is possible to select which SAT scores to send to a college (you should confirm that), so nothing to loose. Try taking a practice test and see how you do. You have good scores, but higher scores might help for scholarships at NEU and other schools.

um if you took them the last time without studying. i would take them again. but if you did study they might not change much. i got a 40K scholarship with my scores. but then again I am a girl so that might have factored in

Also, try taking the ACT, some people are able to score much higher on the ACT when they’ve been stuck in a certain score range on the SAT.
