i wouldnt say can't to anything in the college process... my friend and i just got accepted into some schools that noone thought would happen.. just shoot for the stars and you will land on the moon

You have a low B average right about now...and no matter how high your SATs are, you wont get into Emory or Gtech with that. Sorry, just being realistic.

Im not going to lie, I honestly don't think your academics will help you much. You just need to really show off your passions in whatever major you want to go into ..and even then you might have a chance.

GA-Tech - low chance
Emory - Very low chance.

i just got back my sat scores, 500 cr, 630 math, 700 writing....i usually get low 600's on cr practice sat's so hoping for 630 cr, 700 math, and 800 writing. I'm hoping to try getting perfect on math, I know I can do it, but just didn't try.

but actually, i take back what i said, you have a good chance as long as you strive to show that you really do have a passion in your chosen line of work...
if that makes sense.

just be sure to amp up those community services and try maybe start your own company or club in something in your community (thats what i'm doing =) )

yup GA Tech and Emory are both very low chances. that F u got really hurts u. however with a good SAT u still improve ur chances.
Other school to consider:
- Georgia State: and then transfer to GA Tech or Emory. its close to Ga Tech and its in the heart of Down town atlanta.
- University of Georgia: still sort of a reach but u have a better chance here than at GA tech.

hey, I think your academics are okay but I think there are going to be students with much stronger grades applying. I think you still have a decent chance with a great SAT score, strong essay, and extracurricular. Apply and have faith in yourself anyways because no one on college confidential knows exactly what your chances are.
