I think you have a good shot. Good Luck!!
You are way in. Possible shot at stern scholarship. I know people with similar scores who were given merit scholarship.
Good a shot as anybody else with similar stats has but disagree that he is way in. ED will help however
I’ve seen many many applicants with similar and better stats that got rejected from Stern - it’s too competitive these days to really say and Stern has taken very holistic approach to the admissions process
^That may be true for the regular decision pool, but if you are applying ED with those stats your chances of admission are extremely high.
what would boost my chances? anything i can make better?
Dude nothing can boost your chances. As I already stated, I know several people who had identical stats as you and were not only admitted but also received the stern scholarship. Your SAT is 100 points above the average (Avg is 1440). You are at the top of your class. In addition you are applying ED. I would put your chances (as long as your essays are great) at 85-95%.
@SternBusiness maybe I personally know several kids that applied with 2350+ SATs that got rejected ED. I was very surprised since when I was applying I’ve always heard 2300+ and high GPA is pretty much what Stern is looking for.
There was actually a kid on CC, I think last year who felt devastated after he got rejected w/ 2350+ SATs and a high GPA (don’t remember if it was ED or RD though) and he went to BC Honors instead (which is still amazing).
All i’m saying its not as predictable as it was before - things have change a lot. For example when I was applying I think the acceptance rate was around 19% now its 12%-13% in just a couple of years.
