Don’t Sweat it Candidate. You have many things working for you than against you. Your run time is outstanding. And your Academic stats are stellar. You just need to min pass on your other events in the CFA. Practice practice practice before taking the actual CFA. I only did 3 pull ups before I trained. I did a regimental workout everyday on pull ups, sit ups, push ups. I did one day and rested for 2 days on sit ups and push ups. But did pull ups all day long. Buy a pull up bar and practice every day.
After practicing for 3 months, my best CFA is:
Basketball 62 ft
Shuttle Run 8.6 sec
Pull Ups 18
Push Ups 71
Sit Ups 88
1 Mile Run 7:03 (you kick my ass on this event. In fact, you blow most people away on this)
Running is a critical event in the military. You have to run and pace well. Just pace well, in cadence.
I like to swim, don’t enjoy the run as much. But I can handle the Academy run. And so can you. You can handle the PT with little practice. You don’t have to be a Varsity Jock to do well on CFA. It really requires practice. CFA is not muscle test but practice and practice.
You are a HYPO Candidate at all the Academies. You have a very strong chance! Don’t give up, and finish the process. Make sure you state all your achievements that are meaningful to you and you have hard earned! You deserve to be recognized my good man. Schools and programs want to see your relevant interest and depth in those activities. So present them and articulate yourself.

I’m not a Military Brat. My Dad is a corporate CEO so family lived abroad as expat family for many years. Our family did have few in the military: great great grandfather, great grand father, grand father - from an NCO to a General. They served in the Army and Air Force. But the Academies don’t know about this, I think! This is not so important since it is about you and not about your ancestors who served. Having the right positive attitude with a genuine desire to serve our country is paramount. And your true desire to serve and lead others with ethical character, empathy, and moral courage will go a long way.
Good luck my man, you can do it and you can make it. Don’t give up! Good Luck!
