Im currently a sophomore studying Chemical Engineering at Syracuse University. My current GPA is 3.4 which I think is low for Upenn. In highschool, I had a decent list of EC's and in college, im a member of the American Institution for Chemical Engineers and the National Society for Collegiate Scholars on campus. My highschool GPA was 4.0 and I was class valedictorian. During my junior to senior summer, I went to summer school in Cornell to study Chem I and a course on cognitive sciences (psych elective). I passed the AP test for English and Writing. Because of that, I got into college with 17 credits already. I know that the grades for my college classes are not exceptional and are those of an average student, but Im really passionate about this field and I just feel that nobody in Syracuse has a desire to learn but just to party. I applied to Upenn but got waitlisted, but looking back, my essays weren't that great.
