If I get a high score on the SAT/ACT, could I easily get in?
I plan on majoring in nursing

Looks good so far! You still have a lot of time to worry about getting in, but keep doing what you’re doing and do well on the SATs and keep those grades up. Nursing is a very hard program to get into (I’m a sophomore in nursing now), but it seems to me that you’re on the right track.

phew. TCNJ is my #1 choice and I got my report card and I received 3 B’s and I was really upset because I was afraid I would have no chance of getting it.

It seems like you’ll have a pretty good chance. I was recently accepted and throughout high school I was all A/B’s. I don’t think a few B’s are going to hurt you so you shouldn’t worry that much. My GPA was like 3.89 and honestly I never took one AP class and I only took 2 honors classes throughout all of high school (yeah, I regretted that haha). I got an 1850 on the SAT’s and I honestly thought that with all my numbers, there was no way I was getting in. But I did. Just make sure to remember that they look at everything holistically. It’s not just GPA and SAT’s, it’s also extra-curriculars, volunteering, the essay, recommendations, and your major (depends on how competitive it is). Also, if TCNJ is your top choice consider applying early decision (the binding one) because it shows how dedicated you really are. And if you get deferred don’t worry cause I did and I still got in. Follow up too with email updates so they know you’re really interested. Good luck :)
