Chances (last time)

Sorry, this is my second chances post, but I calculated my GPA without +/-, got rid of nonacademic classes, honors/ap and freshman year. I go to a highly competitive Jesuit High School (College Prep) and I am a white male from New England.

Stats

GPA: 3.5
SAT 1: 1920 (660m, 670cr, 590w(10/12 on essay, so *** happened)) taking again aiming for a 2000.
SAT 2: Not taken yet, US History, Math 1c

ECs:

4 Years Concert Band (1st/2nd Trumpet)
3 Years Jazz Band (2nd/3rd Trumpet)
6 Years Boy Scouts
*Tried out for Tennis 3 years and never made the team (what can I say? They're all nasty at tennis). Still a time consuming hobby.
2 Years Political Awareness
1 Year Online magazine
1 Year School Newspaper (Seniors only)

Work Experience:

2 Years at a Doctor's office, also interned during 1 summer at a hospital (thought I wanted to go PreMed, but I changed my mind).

Volunteer Work (20 hours required for Sophomore year, 30 hours required for Junior year, 2 hours/week required for Senior year):

100 Hours at a nursing home
50 Hours at a community Recreation center
20 Hours at the Public Library

Teacher recommendations will be pretty good, from Physics and (very tough) US History Teacher. Essay will be pretty good as well.

You have great shots at BU and UM-CP, others, I don't know

Forgot to mention, I've taken a full courseload (7 classes for 7 available slots) all 4 years. Does that help?

bump lease..

screw this, im talking to my guidance counselor

i feel bad....i'll answer.....northwestern is a hard reach but your chances might go up if u ED....BC i think u have a shot cause i know someone with worse stats that got in....nyu i think u have a shot....wake forest i dont know too much about...i think u can get into all of your matches.....and i dont really have to go over your safties

Thanks man, I appreciate it. Anyone else?

I think there is a good chance you will get into all of your matches, and your safeties are safe. I think you have a pretty good chance at NYU. Northwestern is a very big reach and to have a good shot you should apply ED (otherwise, your chances there are pretty slim).

......................................

bump..........

bump........

Last bump...come on ppl

I just visited wake forest and it was unbelievable. Screw BC and Northwestern, what are my chances at WFU?

bump again

I saw AP art history and AP micro and macro in a thread today, which is ridonculous because they don't offer crap like that at my school

just apply to all those schools...
