31 ACT
2020 SAT (will probably retake)
3.3 UW GPA (baaad)
Varsity tennis, NHS, and French Club are pretty much my only significant ec's.... do I have a chance of getting in?

I dunno what it is out of a 4.0 scale, but I had about an 86 GPA at the time of applying last year and I got in. I think what did it for me was my SAT was similar to yours (1380 or a 2000). I think you’ll be OK, but make sure to write the optional essay.

Good luck man.

You’re fine–but I suggest you apply early anyway (and if you’d like to increase your chances for scholarship consideration, then perhaps you should retake one of those tests).

I just was wondering how you got into NHS with such a low GPA. For my school we have to have a minimum of 3.6 (unweighted)? (If you don’t mind me asking.) I think Pitt is in reach and you are likely to get in there. I know tons of people that went there…some sound just like you…low gpa and a bit higher SAT score but still got in. I think you will have a chance.

it’s based on the weighted GPA at my school. and thanks for the feedback! will definitely aim for a higher SAT…
