SATII: 750 590
GPA: 3.4 UW/3.6 W (up to 11th) All honors, two APs, general upward trend

Great Recs
Great essay (about coming to the U.S. several years ago and overcoming language barriers--could not speak english back then--and such)
Ok ECs (music, community service, tutoring-job, one varsity sports)</p>

<p>I know my Stats are low, but what do you think..?</p>

<p>even I am applying to Trinity with a GPA 3.0, I love Trinity I hope they love me!!!</p>

<p>Yea, My friend was accepted with a 3.4 GPA so its hard to tell.</p>

<p>I have a 3.6 and I'm applying.</p>

<p>Geographical diversity will help your chances. Your stats are not low for Trinity College.</p>

<p>your sats are low (i think trinitys average is 1950 this year), but otherwise you're fine. i would say if you applied ed youd have a good chance. otherwise, itd be a slight reach.</p>

<p>I know many students at Trinity College who were admitted with stats lower than yours. You are fine; just let Trinity College know that it is your first choice (if that is the case). 25% of the admitted students to Trinity have lower SAT scores. Trinity College does not get many matriculated students from the South. Trinity College is a match school for you.</p>

<p>and would anyone tell me what my chances are??
GPA 3.0 (most demanding course selection) Rank :top 15%
SAT : 1970 CR 600 Maths 750 Writing 620
SAT 2 : not given
TOEFL : 650/677
and Great Ecs and a great essay!! reco.s must be great as they are generally based on ECs and characters
And hey how important is the supplemental essay??</p>

<p>I had stats a little higher than yours and got in (early decisions though)
i think both the supp essay and the personal statement are very important (they quoted mine in the acceptance letter)
i also think any hook you have is very important at trinity.
good luck!</p>

Thank you for your reply,
What is "any hook"? what really is a hook? please enlighten me!
thanks.</p>

<p>it can be a sport, music, dance
some ec that you are vry involved with</p>

<p>Does Trinity accept January SAT-I scores??? any idea?? I mailed them about this but they seem to be too busy.</p>

<p>no idea but you can call them (1-860-297-2180) and see if anyone is in</p>

<p>well i am an international and calling long distance is not so feasible for me :-(</p>
