Chances + Merit Aid?

Hello everybody. I am a Kentuckian interested in NYU. I know that the aid is horrible, but i was wondering if they give any sort of decent merit aid that i would have any chance at. Here are some stats.

White male
rank: 2/209
hardest schedule at school w/ 5 aps senior year
GPA: 3.94 UW or 98 UW
SAT: 700 math 800 lit 800 writing
SAT 2s: Math 2 730 World history 800 U.S. history 790
ap scores calc ab: 5 U.S. history: 5 Chemistry: 4
Extracurriculars
A few clubs, nothing special, a few leadership positions, about 80 hours of community service
Awards: National merit semifinalist (hopefully finalist) 10th in state on national french exam, class awards, foreign language festival awards.

I am willing to shoulder a fair amount of loans and debt, but i don't want to graduate with debt pouring out my ears. Any comments are welcome, thank you for your time.

you know your chances very well, but some people including me like to hear it from someone else. You have an excellent chance of getting in. If they are in a good mood, they might just give you some merit scholarship. Good luck!

you are definately in without a doubt.. u should get 10-20k in scholarships also; depending on your parents financial situation.

Thank you both. i appreciate your thoughts. This is a bit related, about working while at NYU. I know they have work study, but would a part time job be a good idea? I don't want to take the focus of my time away from studying, but its always nice to have some extra. Is anyone out there doing this right now at NYU? and do you think its worth it?
