chances @ MIT, CalTech...

thanks everyone for the helpful comments and criticism.

hopefully ill have straight A's for the AP classes my senior year.

yes, my math courses I have straight A's, but for chemistry I had on/off A's, B's, with one C. Will that hurt too much, even if another science teacher's recomendation is REALLY good, talking about how eager to learn and everything?

DVD Portfolio is finished... looks really good with all of my animations and independant research projects... Also have a finished science research paper that I'm gonna send also.

Thanks again.

Oh, by the way, if it matters, should I put down on my application that I am a second-generation Ukrainian (ie, both my dad and mom moved to america, then I was born here)? And if yes, where should I mention it?

Just right it on your dads nationality thing..

by the way marcopolo you are sending the DVD portfolio on the same part of the common app where they ask for art pieces, musics and etc?

do you think it will help you?

It depends on how much they care or not...

I have won a lot of tech and art awards for my computer animations, computer engineering projects, films, website designs, etc.

So, if it gives them a better context for how I can apply myself outside of the classroom, sure I think it'll help (hopefullly :) )...
