Chances...need to know!?!?

<p>Hey guys, I was just wondering what are my chances getting into these colleges:</p>

<p>University of Chicago
Northwestern University
University of Illinois at Urabana-Champaign
University of Illinois at Chicago
University of Iowa
Ohio State University
University of Texas</p>

<p>My stats:
GPA UW: 3.93
ACT: 27 (i know it's not great, so i am retaking it soon)
Volunteering hours: A little over 100 hrs
After school clubs/activities: Drama club, key club, science olympiad (club; also i am the Vice President), French Honors Society, math club, Biotech
Interests/experiences: Participated in afterschool weightlifting for 1 year, guitar player, involved in 3 fall mainstages and 1 senior act plays with 2 leads and 2 supporting roles so far, was a children's coordinator at a childrens museum, participated in local forest preserve clean up, volunteered at local ribfest every summer for two summers, involved in biotech's smart team analyzing data for scientists
AP/Honors: Took 2 AP classes and taking 4 this year, and 5 honors classes</p>

<p>I am also applying to some combined BS/MD programs. My chances seem slim in those combined programs, but wth. But i am just wondering how are my chances gettin into those colleges listed above. Your opinions will be very much appreciated and thank you.</p>

<p>reach for UChicago/Northwestern and maybe low reach for UT, your ACT is pretty low :confused: have you considered retaking? your ECs seem good and your GPA is great. just that test score… I’d say probably good shot at the rest of the schools though, esp with good essays/recs</p>

<p>yes i m retaking the ACT in two weeks, hoping to score atleast a 30, but i don’t know how that’s goin to affect me since i am applying to those schools on early decisions, which end in November 1st. To add to the ECs, I also wrote a script and directed a children’s play with a class based on a story written by one of the kids in my district, and acted in at least 10 mini children’s plays, in which I performed 4 lead roles</p>

<p>Well, my daughter has already received her acceptance to Iowa and her stats were 25 ACT (doesn’t want to take it again, go figure) and 3.4 GPA. Iowa just has a number you have to reach with your stats and you are in. She was almost 10 points over the number.</p>
