The last SAT i tool i got a 1480 on but then i took them again in may and now my best combined score is a 1610 (i know not amazing by some of ur standards but i thought i died and went to heaven) anyway can you tell me what my chances are now?

I got waitlisted at Indiana with a 3.4 and 1700s, rejected by Pitt (in state) and into UMass with that.

1700 SAT but 3.4 GPA? how did that happen?

what?? how did that happen??? I had a 3.2 and a 1700 and got into IU as well with a scholarship invite. didnt attend there cause i chose UMiami instead but eitherway u should have gotten in. I applied right on the deadline for IU :P Thats weird. U should have gotten into Pitt.

Anyways:
UD: not sure. Sorry :(
IU: ill still name it a safety for you.
Penn State: reach
Pitt: reach
U Mass: safety
Rutgers: match/reach

Suggestions:
- U Rhode Island: safety
- U New Hampshire: safety
- Michigan State: safety
- Ohio State: Match
- Purdue: Safety

Did you apply for biz acarta? My school is a Pitt feeder, I shouldve gotten in.
And dont hate on my GPA, because that's just being a jerk. I'd love to see where you go... FYI, that GPA is with one C in all of high school--so i'm pretty content, not to mention i'm going to a better school than any mentioned in this thread thank you very much.

whoa...sry i didnt mean offense to anyone i was just commenting that its weird how some ppl with low-er GPAs do REALLY well on the SAT and im having alot of trouble....where are u going loslobos? acarta are PSU and PITT still reaches for me if im in state?

i have a like a 3.3 gpa with a 1990 SAT... 800 math... it depends on the school. I go to a tough private school. So your school might be easier than his. He may also take tougher classes.

Lobos I wasnt hating on ur gpa, I was surprised because I had the same gpa as urs and lesser SAT scores and I got in. U must have misunderstood.
Anyways yea I applied for biz to all schools I applied to. didnt get into biz in all of them. At Ohio State I got in but not for biz. just general admissions.
At Indiana I didnt get into Biz either. the rest I did though. Im going to UM btw, its no Harvard but i was lucky to get in with my stats.

Hope2Budel: yea if ur in state its no longer a reach. I wasnt sure if u were in state or not so I decided to chance u as an OOS. but yea if ur in state, then PSU would be a reach/high match. Pitt would be a reach still.

and btw, as I previosuly mentioned, I was not laughing at ur gpa as I have the same as urs.
Likewise, dont laugh at where I go. I dont think BU is any better than UM. they are ranked just about the same. I know ppl who chose BU over UM and just as many people who choce UM over BU.

I'm pretty familiar with Miami considering I visited, know a lot of people there and my whole family lives in South Florida. Miami isn't close to BU IMO. You can thank your sports program for everything.
Also, I wasn't 'laughing at where you go', I meant your high school...
