So, these are a good amount of my stats and major ec's and awards...not sure of what else to put, but this is almost everytihng, i think...anyway, georgetown is my top choice, didnt do EA though...anybody think i should write a letter saying it is? anyway, if you could just evaluate how much of a shot i have at georgetown, id appreciate it...alright, thanks

Georgetown is my top choice now too, but I don't think there's any way to tell them aside from applying EA...

As for your chances, I have no idea what goes on in the admissions office. I'm sure they'll take you into consideration...do you know of other people from your area who are applying?

You could always attach a cover letter saying that Georgetown is your number one school, and explaining why. Just a thought.

Now, about your chances...as good as anyone else on this board. There are always some who we think are a shoo in who don't, and other times there are some who we think won't make it and do. You're in the middle. Meaning no one else on this board has any more clue than I do about your chances. You have a shot, for sure. How good? I'm clueless.

lol, okay, that works...actually, a bunch of people from my school are applying...the onyl thing i might have extra is a recommendation from this doctor/alum of gtown, who is good friends with the dean of admissions...i know some people who got a letter from him, and they all got in

oh, and i was thinking about writing the letter...when do you think i should send it? soon, or shoudl i wait a few weeks?

If a bunch are applying from your school=not good.

no kidding...well, i only know of one person who's stats are higher than mine right now...some of the others that were applying got accepted into their ED schools, and the one person i mentioned has higher sat's, but his gpa is quite a bit lower than mine...i heard class rank was really important at georgetown, so that might help?

yeah, probably...

but only like five people in my school are applying to Georgetown, and that didn't help me...

If your rank is higher than the people who are applying from your school, then you should be fine, even if their SAT's are higher.

yeah, i know my rank is higher, plus, i believe i have more ap's and honors classes as well...we'll see how it all plays out in april...hopefully in my favor...
