You did ask a few months ago. I'm not sure if you're too lazy or ashamed to bump the thread or if you're too busy going down the list of elite schools and posting the same "chances?" thread. either way, I afford you no slack.

considering you got good feedback the first time you posted, I'm a little disappointed that you didn't seem to listen. It's still pretentious, unnecessary, subjective, and irrelevant that you are part of the "best class ever". No one, including NU ad coms, care. If you go to a good school, that's fine. But since you don't go to the top 5 or so prep schools where you are guarenteed ivy league (or peer) admissions, you won't get a huge bump.
Your ACTs are low, but keep working.

well I definitely won't overplay the class thing. I think I remember something about that being discussed here, but besides that, can my GPA make up for my ACT a little bit? I mean, 30 is still within range (albeit on the lower side), and my GPA is decent (not great, but alright), so don't I have at least some chance?

Oh yeah, and will ED help my chances at all?

There's nothing to overplay. You go to Beaverton High School. NU will know what they need to know about it. In the case of public high schools, where you go isn't YOUR accomplishment, it's your parents (in the sense of their ability to afford a good school district), so you can't pat yourself on the head about the quality of your high school -- you didn't buy the house that put yourself into it. And don't you think NU has figured that out yet?

And you KNOW that ED helps your chances pretty much anywhere, so why ask it? And you know the answer to your question ... yes, your GPA may make up for your ACT, but it's not as good as outstanding GPA and outstanding ACT which many NU applicants have in spades.

You've taken a bunch of hard IB courses and gotten A's in most, if not all of them. So a little low 30 shouldn't be too big a deal. Of course, raising it wouldn't be a bad idea either.
