<p>Im from PA and go to a competitive (5-15 ivies or new ivies a year) catholic school </p>

<p>GPA (upward trend w/ obvious dip due to personal issues soph. year)
FRESH - 4.0 UW 4.25 W ( 4 Honors Courses)
SOPH - 3.3 UW 3.47 W ( 5 Honors Courses)
JUNIOR - 3.8 UW 4.21 W ( 5 Honors 1 AP Courses)
SENIOR - 4.0 UW 4.64 W ( 3 Honors 3 AP Courses) </p>

<p>In regards to GPA, this previously recorded gpa is to give u a sense of my grades b/c my actual gpa by my school's standards (which they dont do weighted) is a 4.0. But since many find that misleading, I felt the need to elaborate. </p>

For Senior Year alone, I'm 7th out of 390 but cumulatively I'm around 30- 50th out of 390 due mainly to Sophomore year. </p>

Great and a good family friend (active alumni) wrote me a wonderfully written letter if that matters. </p>

UVA-Out of state this is a def reach for you

<p>sorry im applying as a biomedical engineer which i no means that cornell is a no and thats fine but i thought that being an engineer would mean that UVA would be easier to get into b/c im applying engineering instead of ay English or Business</p>
