Hi all! I was hoping someone could give me some insight. I want to apply early decision for fall 2013, but my stats aren't fabulous. Will finish with a PR degree/minor in business with probably a 3.0-3.2 with lots of obstacles I'm sure I can explain. I have, however, worked in music/events/artist management for approx. 10 years. I have also been a legal assistant since 1998. Any info would be great.

Thanks!

NYCBound–may I ask why you’re looking for a degree in this field? If you have worked in the industry for as long as you claim to have been, there is really NO reason to even apply. You are much better off with an MBA. Learn about the industry in the field and if you feel you absolutely need another degree, spend your money on an MBA, which will serve you much better when applying for jobs. Stern @ NYU has some great programs.

I say this out of concern, not contempt! An MBA will take you further than a music business degree.
