Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this or not... or if this has already been posted elsewhere but I figured I would give it a shot.

I am a Freshman transferring from Mercyhurst University (Formerly, Mercyhurst College). I'm worried about my acceptance as a transfer student because Mercyhurst operates on a Trimester schedule. I was halfway through my second trimester when I decided to transfer. I finished the term to show prospective schools that I had continuous good grades, but I didn't continue onto my third trimester because not all schools take trimester credits and I didn't want to waste more money (Along with my extreme unhappiness there). Regardless, I left Mercyhurst with a 3.9 GPA as a Political Science/Pre-law major.

I have applied to Villanova University and the University of Delaware. My major has changed to Philosophy as I hope to pursue a legal career in Bioethics. <-- (Not sure if that matters, just throwing it out there) - If given the choice, I would like to go to Villanova based on the fact of their notable Pre-law program/law school... however, I would be just as happy attending the University of Delaware. This also depends on affordability, housing, etc.

Also, one of my parent's teaches a class during the spring semester at Villanova... I'm not sure if that has any impact of not?

Info:
College GPA - 3.9
High School GPA - 3.9, 27 out of 231
SAT - Reading 460, Mathematics, 460, Writing 520 (I'm aware they're not good scores)
I don't have strong extracurricular activities because the majority of my time was dedicated to dance in High School.

Do you think I have a chance with any of these schools?
