Chances of acceptance to Boston University

Hey, I’m planning on applying to boston university and I was hoping that you guys could give me an idea of what my chances are. I have boston residency but live in Greece (which is where i’m from). I’m planning on applying for Bio and am interested in medicine. Here are my statistics:

SAT’s: 2170 (700 CR, 720 M, 750 W) might retake in october. Haven’t taken any subject tests yet but am planning to take the BIO E/M and Chemistry subject tests in the fall.

UW GPA is 3.6something and W is around 4.2 I’ve been taking challenging courses throughout high school, including the IB Diploma Program in my Junior year and now upcoming senior year, along with a total of around 8 or 9 Honors classes throughout my freshman and sophomore years (the greatest number of H courses available at my school for those years).
My school is a very competitive International school in Athens, Greece but it doesn’t report class ranking due to the small number of students in each grade (between 70-90) i believe my grade has 87.

My EC’s are okay:
-4 years of soccer (2 years at varsity level). our team competes in the ISST tournament, a tournament between various international schools in europe
-Debate team
-4 Years of playing the Guitar
-Treasurer of Student Council
Planning on joining MUN (model united nations) in senior year

Volunteer Work:
-worked in Neurosurgery department at a greek private hospital (about 100 hours)
-volunteer work at archipelagos (a organization researching and preserving marine and terestrial life in greece) (around 80-90 hours)
-Started an english learning program at a greek day care (hoping to spread this program to other day cares)
-work with the Make a Wish foundation
-tree planting

Any responses would really be appreciated.

Γεια σου!

Assuming you pass your TOEFL (and by your CR score, it seems as though you will), your SAT score is well above the middle 50%. Your GPA of 3.6-something is above the 3.52 average GPA of incoming freshmen and your volunteering at the archipelagos is interesting! Your application to BU seems at the very least appropriate and you seem well qualified. I use words like “seems” and “average” because, alas, nobody here is from the BU Admissions department  Good luck, and hope to see you as a Terrier next year!

γεια σου!!
actually i don’t need to take the TOEFL because i go to an american school and have all my life so i’m not required to. Thank you for the reply and for the encouragement!:)
