Chances of acceptance to Cornell School of Engineering

I'm not applying to Cornell quite yet, but I just wanted to get a general idea of where I stand.
Ethnicity: Asian

High School: Brooklyn Technical High School

Freshman Course Load:Normal Classes

Sophomore Course Load: Normal Classes

Junior Course Load:AP physics B, AP English, AP USH + Intro to psychology @ Hunter College & Intro to biology @ NYC College of Technology

Intended Senior Course load: AP macro econ, AP micro econ, AP Java, AP statistics, AP calc BC, AP English, AP US gov't +1-2 more intro courses at various colleges.

GPA:92-95(Various from year to year, general upwards trend)

Volunteer: around 4-500 Hours (Various organizations, volunteered throughout the year)

Summer programs: NYC Generations Tech

EC: Math Team for Sophomore, Junior, and Senior year. NHS for three years, and also Software engineering club and science olympiad club.

SAT: Math is around 750, Critical reading is around 650-700

SAT 2: Around 750 for MATH II, around 720 for Physics and Biology

What do you think my chances are right now, and what do I need to do to improve them?
P.S.I plan on applying ED to cornell
Thank You

If you can improve some things, I think you may get in.

You really need to up the Math and Math II scores: 800 on Math II and Physics or Biology—one or the other—will be important because so many people score perfect on them. It may help to take AP Chemistry and a higher level math if you can. Try to structure the application around engineering and the physical sciences (application) rather than general science to stand out in the admissions pool because for Cornell you are for specifically applying to the College of Engineering.

Is there anything else I can do?

You don’t even have your first SAT score yet?

not too good at the moment. You have nothing that makes you stand out, which is what ivy schools look at. Try to get an internship

Looking at this again, I thought about SAT I scores.

Maybe 750+ on each section—likely higher on the math especially if want the engineering college—would make you more of a fit, statistically.

^^ I definitely second the idea of an internship. You’re in Brooklyn. I imagine there is something within a reasonable distance you could do that would ensure that engineering is really what you want and give you the right experience for admissions.

I’ve actually thought about this many times, and Brooklyn Tech DOES offer a ton of internships, but there is just one problem: these internships require knowledge about computer languages that I don’t really know, especially since I am in math major, not software engineering major(I wasn’t sure I wanted to do software), so its difficult for me to get an internship in that area.

Just to clarify: on the summer program section, NYC generation tech is basically an technology entrepreneurship program that teaches high school students how to make android applications using basic HTML, CSS, and Javascript. At the moment, this is the closest thing I have to an internship.

Go for it and do Your Best, you can find some basic online course about software engineer html, css - easy to learning

So if I got an internship, would I have a shot at getting into Cornell? (I know the ivies are a bit unpredictable, so I just want like a general idea of whether or not applying to cornell is pointless for me). I think I can improve my Sat and SATII scores, but I’m afraid my EC’s are pretty bad.

Also, I should defiantly do Early decision if I apply, yes?

Thank you guys so much for you input. I really appreciate it.
