Chances of acceptance to UCSD?

So I would really like to go to UC San Diego, but just how selective is it?

I've taken honors classes each year, 2 AP classes in junior year, and plan to take 2 AP classes in senior year. I usually get a 4.0 each year, spare for one year when I got a B.

SAT scores are reading=640 math=640 writing=670. ACT score is average of 27 (can't remember individual scores).

I've been as involved in school as I could be (my school didnt offer clubs or sports but I joined the few extracurricular things they offered) and I plan to start my own club in senior year (I'm at a new school now).

Should I set my hopes on this school or is my acceptance iffy?

It’s iffy, you right in the middle, it will probably depend on your major

entering as a computer science major, does that increase or decrease competition?

Lately, a lot of people are doing computer science and its UCSD which has great technology so increase selectivity

Try to increase your SAT

You are simply redirected to another college/major if you don’t get accepted to your major.

Your major: low reach due to low SAT scores
UCSD as a whole: match

^I agree with BuBBLES

You’ve only gotten 1 B your whole high school career? If so, you have a great GPA. I’d say UCSD is a match.
