UT automatically accepts students who are at the top 7% of their class. Rank is very important to Texas schools. Acceptance also depends if your in state or out-of-state. If your out-of-state, admission is harder, because UT separates 75% of its freshman space to Texas citizens. Students who are out-of-state, and do not fall under automatic admission will have to be reviewed holistically. This is just to enter UT. To enter UT’s college of natural science, your admission is reviewed among other applicants. 12 of its natural science programs are ranked in the top 10 nationally, so I’m assuming is very competitive. I hope this information was of some good use, and best of luck.
